@LordPax, I have rewritten and updated both the CLI and GUI versions.

It seems to have turned into payware as of version 4.0, and the only official way of building it from source is using a Dockerfile and a build script residing in a separate repository (https://github.com/terrapane/aescrypt_private_build). I will be disowning the package since I have no interest in supporting this. The only reason I picked up the package in the first place was because I needed to decrypt a 15 year old file - nowadays I use Age for such purposes.
