The new numpy package probably exploded Amulet.

Warning:

This package is no longer works.

  1. upstream didn't release binary for linux.
  2. this package rely on old python3.7 and

Looks like from next update (0.10.12) it may finally be possible to do away with python 3.9 and the venv

doesn't work, in github they suggest using pip: https://pypi.org/project/amulet-map-editor/

This package is broken at the moment due to Amulet Team themselves linking it properally. You can view the issue in more detail here https://github.com/Amulet-Team/Amulet-Map-Editor/issues/105. I will publish a non bin package soon that should fix this. Please flag the package as outdated when this issue is fixed.
