Please check if there's actually a new version for Linux available before flagging this package. The version numbers for Windows and Linux are different.

This package should use a pkgver() function to set the correct version for the 32bit package.

Running anydesk in CLI or anydesk --service or anydesk --get-id doesn't do anything. Also ps aux|grep -i anydesk isn't showing anything. How can anydesk be started on a headless server (with LXDE installed)?

FYI: I asked them about an update for the Linux version and this was their response: https://gist.github.com/D3SOX/e2684360fccd60aaed446153d3941c31

Might be good to look out for a new version in the next view days.

Sure, it's in my interest to be a good packager. That was what I was thinking too. Thanks for your explanations.

My limited testing in the past was that yay ignored replaces, but that could have changed. It definitely affects repositories, like chaotic, though. I appreciate your understanding and willingness to update.

D3SOX commented on 2023-09-20 08:33 (UTC)

Yeah, it has been a long time since the old package was deleted. And I'm not even sure if replaces works for AUR packages when using an AUR helper.

xiota commented on 2023-09-20 07:43 (UTC)

Thanks for updating so quickly. A replaces directive was causing someone problems with another package. So sending this request for packages in chaotic-aur that could potentially have a similar issue someday. Since the historical reason for the directive is likely no longer relevant, it's safe to remove.

@xiota Done. Just for me as a reference; why did you want me to remove it? Does it break something?
