Just name it atlas in that case.-git is for packages not bound to a version. And packages not building from the source have -bin suffix. No suffix is exactly what you mentioned.

Hi @zumoshi I would like to follow the git release tag but build from source. will this break convention of AUR?

Why is this package bound to a specific version? I thought *-git packages always built from the latest commit?
