@TheExplorer: Sure, just edit the PKGBUILD to your own needs. Remove entries from "depends=()" and disable the options you don't need (like with -Dqt=false) in build().

Is it possible (and how?) to pass some compile options into the process? I'd like to strip down unneeded dependencies.

Also, how do you tell it to compile with gtk? I don't see it anywhere in the PKGBUILD. (I'm still learning things, sorry).

problem with manjaro: there is no glib2-devel. just glib2.

The --disable-adplug option is no longer supported in Audacious 3.8. That explains why it is still compiled. Please write in the Audacious forum about your problem. http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/projects/audacious/boards
