"SVN version of Blender"?

stativ commented on 2013-12-05 10:13 (UTC)

jean_no: thank you for mentioning that. This package was bit more difficult to create because of the git submodules, so please test it and report any problems with downloading or updating the sources.

Blender has a new infrastructure development since 11/29/2013 ( svn -> git ) http://code.blender.org/index.php/2013/11/new-development-infrastructure/

Yorrd: in that case there must be some different package on which blender depends but which still depends on boost 1.53. You can use lddtree from pax-utils to find the problematic package. My wild guess is that it's openimageio.

stativ: I did several times :S boost is up to date on version 1.54

stativ commented on 2013-07-16 07:00 (UTC)

Yorrd: there was a boost upgrade and you apparently didn't rebuild blender against the new boost. Just rebuild it.

This is what I get when trying to start blender via the console. blender: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_filesystem.so.1.53.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

That fixed it. I already tried deleting everything and it didn't seem to work. I found I was changing into the wrong directory! Thanks!
