Printing to the Brother MFC-L2710DW stopped working for me on the three (3) Arch machines I operate. I tried debugging, but cannot find any errors, I suppose it might have something to do with multilib issues. To circumvent this issue, I switched to using a Debian based cups docker and that shares my Brother as a raw printing device to my Arch machines.

I indeed used "LPD/LPR Host or Printer" and "socket://brother:9100" as address. What connection type did you try?

This package is based on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc-l2750dw that package (same as this one btw) states "LPR and CUPS driver for the Brother ...".

Ok. Adding it with connection type: "LPD/LPR Host o stampante" and address "socket://IP:9100", it works.

Maybe in the .install file you can add that the connection should be LPD/LPR.

This driver does not seem to work:

I get the following error when I try to print something: "Idle - Unable to add document to print job."
