Where should the makedepends be added? In the PKGBUILD or in setup.py?

The test_functional.py is a bit of "works in progress", but the test does pass for me ... probably a dependency-problem. I may have some time to look into it today.

I have generated a calendar-cli-git PKGBUILD
I have generated a plann-git PKGBUILD

The makedepends additions from my 2023-07-03 comment below are added (and are necessary) in both of the new PKGBUILDs. They should still be added here as well. The build of this (calendar-cli) package WILL fail without them.

I have mentioned this in your github repo as well, but the tests for calendar-cli do not work correctly since cal.py was split out to plann, so tests are temporarily disabled in the PKGBUILD for calendar-cli-git.

Also, as you have noted in the test file itself, test_functional.py is not currently usable in plann. This individual test file is removed in the plann PKGBUILD.

I still plan to release plann and a new version of calendar-cli, but not today, and I'm happy if someone else can make the PKGBUILD.

makedepends=('python-build' 'python-wheel' 'python-setuptools' 'python-pytest' 'python-installer')

Also,
1) Do you still intend to add a plann PKGBUILD?
2) Do you intend to add a calendar-cli-git PKGBUILD?
If not, I will generate both.

"kal" (next generation calendar-cli) has been renamed "plann" and moved to a separate repository, so this issue has already been fixed in the HEAD of the master branch. I will try to prioritize releasing a 1.0-version of calendar-cli and push it to AUR.

calendar-cli and kalibrate-rtl should conflict:

calendar-cli: /usr/bin/kal exists in filesystem (owned by kalibrate-rtl-git)
