@grosjo Maybe you can send an issue to the upstream. I think it's not just about updating the version of Electron. Other related components also need to be updated together, such as Node.js, electron-builder, and so on.

using electron34 works

at least, should remove electron29 (so old)

I replaced electron29 (outdated) with electron35 as per archlinux repository

Maybe the problem comes from there

@grosjo I hasn't met the problem. Can you try again?

grosjo commented on 2025-04-15 11:02 (UTC)

I get the following error

caprine@2.60.3 build tsc

source/index.ts:119:4 - error TS18048: 'app.dock' is possibly 'undefined'.

119 app.dock.bounce('informational');

@Cre8teQ If you use electron29-bin instead of electron29, you will find everything will be ok.

Repeatedly broke, trying to install as the dependency election29, is no longer in the repo. Edit package build and change to 32 & it installs fine.
