Hi! Any chance you could add 'x86_64_v3' to the $arch array? :) (See https://rfc.archlinux.page/0002-march/ )

In general, the package should build from upstream to avoid surprises. Since your comment is here, I suppose people can find the patch. Please do open a PR upstream so it can be integrated properly :)

I have a patch that improves sound effects timing by changing two things about the application:

  • Hotkeys: Fire the sounds on key-down instead of key-up
  • Hotkeys: When a hotkey is pressed and its sound is already playing, play the sound from the start instead of stopping it

I might propose it to upstream later, but for now it can be found here together with a castersoundboard-git-custom PKGBUILD.

You are welcome to integrate the patch into castersoundboard-git if you are interested, I would very much appreciate that.

A -git package builds from the latest commit irrespective of when the PKGBUILD was updated. Do you have problems with building it?

If there are UI issues, maybe report it to their github.

This build has not been updated to newest version for the 2019 updates. UI doesn't work well at high resolutions.

Why does this build from master? Shouldn't this build from the development branch?

Thank you for having this returned to AUR :)
