hi all,

0.10.0 will default to sndio before pulseaudio if both are present. This is most likely not what people want and will cause errors or bad visualization. It will still default to pipewire first if present.

0.10.1 fixes this issue.

not sure what version of Arch you are on but I'm using garuda and I had to go into the cava/config file and uncomment the source to use pulse with auto. It looks like the new update added a check for pipewire so if you are using that, you will need to tell it to use whatever your audio engine is instead.
