I think the problem is upstream since the build fails at the ./configure step with a syntax error: ./configure: line 5982: syntax error near unexpected token `-O0' ./configure: line 5982: ` AX_APPEND_COMPILE_FLAGS(-O0 -g -fsanitize=address)' If you still want to build from git, I found a commit that is more recent than v0.5 but successfully builds on my computer. You can change the source url in the PKGBUILD to this one: source=("$pkgname::git+https://github.com/gnome-mpv/gnome-mpv.git#commit=eaecf66a49edf83afc50e6da89fc39768c8fb493")

Gnome-mpv-git can't work correctly now.

It also might be nice to conflict with gnome-mpv as there is now a package for it. Thanks for maintaining!

Please add ;s/v// to the sed command, to remove this v from pkgver

I'd love to know how gnome-mpv utilizes gcc, pkg-config and autoconf for multimedia playback, or why you don't check your packages with namcap.
