Data and config files previously stored in ~/.local/share/cemu are now searched in ~/.config/Cemu, ~/.local/share/Cemu and ~/.cache/Cemu.

If constructed similarly to srbkart-git, set an environment variable before building to enable. Or to disable, depending on the default.

Nice, you reinvented Gentoo and its USE flags! Beside this will possibly make the depends in .SRCINFO to differ from the ones needed to build the package. AUR helpers that parse this file to install dependencies will still try to build discord-rpc, possibly in vain depending on the environment variable value.

What will you say to users that actually use this feature?

(Doesn't really matter to me. Just potential reasons someone would request making discord-rpc optional.)

They bounced the problem back to packagers by having an option to disable it.

What will you say to users that actually use this feature? Anyway, it can be disabled in the application.

Blame the Cemu developers for using such library ;)

If that's true, it should be a makedep, not depends.

I meant it wasn't loaded at runtime with dlopen(), but the shared library is obviously linked.

Some packages, like srb2kart-git, use it only if it is already installed.

It's awful and does not make any sense when building in a clean chroot.

Probably doesn't want to build/install an extra package that hasn't been updated in 4-6 years

Why?

discord-rpc is not dynamically loaded

Why? All available features tend to be enabled in an archlinux package.

discord-rpc is not dynamically loaded by cemu, it's either enabled or disabled.

Is it possible to make discord-rpc optional?
