On 2025-02-24 I have pushed an update that disable cuda https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=cinelerra-gg&id=33a324633157dc9e4b8175707e53a459554ee7b4

due to clang: warning: CUDA version is newer than the latest supported version 12.3 and we're at 12.8 (tested with devtools with addedd cuda as makedepends)

@FabioLolix I have the same problem as moop250; here's a download to the logfile: https://limewire.com/d/70839992-a0b6-4e8f-8c2e-96d7fff2a442#hDN8PDXRHjssxCPNv3o4Et3i0qchtK4lPyG8e7NNLTA

@moop250 I builded both this and the git variant both with makepkg and devtools and the 4 attempt worked, your message says that something have failed but don't says where or that is this pkgbuild, you can either send me directly a full log or upload it on a pastebin service and then link here

When I try to build from source I get the error:

make: *** [Makefile:540: all] Error 2
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().

@Carlos you're welcome to not both flag and comment at the same time, likely a temporary issue from one of the sides, can't replicate

anyway it's still unclear why it doesn't via AUR helper as usual...

I have seen something similar last year with handbrake, something like the bundled ffmpeg isn't the latest and pickup but isn't compatible with the system's vulkan headers or similar

by building in a chroot the vulkan headers aren't present and the build don't fail

@FabioLolix Oh, that's true, thanks, the local package does upgrade OK. But anyway it's still unclear why it doesn't via AUR helper as usual...

I just want subject to be updated at last.

The package have already been build; just install it

Making a local Arch packages repository is not mandatory and have an additional maintainance burden

@FabioLolix Should I add some repo in my /etc/pacman.conf, or what next? I don't understand, sorry. I just want subject to be updated at last. Maybe some logs, configs, etc. to show? I don’t want to be verbose, this is not a forum after all, but what to do.
