Yes indeed. I've changed the PKGBUILD now to require java-7 or java-8.

The script should also temporarily set a java-8 (or java-7 in case 8 is unavailable) environment when running. This should allow users to keep the latest java as default.

Couldn't run with java-11-openjdk (jdk-openjdk 11.0.3.u4-1). I had to reinstall a java 8 environment. Chances are it doesn't work with more recent java environments

I've updated a few PKGBUILD lines and now 6.03 builds and launches for me.

Please could you update the source PKGBUILD? Otherwise, you might want to orphan this package.

Il a fallu que je télécharge la source pour obtenir le md5sum, puis j'ai changé le PKGBUILD:

after an hour of my time, found out new version will:

  • not detect the system jvm anymore (had to patch actvm in /opt/cmaptools/bin/CMapTools)
  • crash with no error message after the JVM has been forced
  • the crash cause cannot be found with strace either

I wanted to check that any better version than a software installer was available on official website, but the download links are behind a spamwall form. I think I'll just let this PKGBUILD in this state since vendor is not packager-friendly at all and puts no effort in it.
