created ticket at mold as i get out of memory recently: https://github.com/rui314/mold/issues/1319. cosmic-applets seem more heavyweight as it builds a bigger binary.
on 16gb hardware for me only restricting the linker to one job works:

@soluturn: I'm participating in a cross-distro collaboration and will be adding all the COSMIC projects from
cosmic-epoch-gitas separate packages. Please add me as a Co-Maintainer.Also, you can neither collaborate with others nor successfully maintain VCS packages if you only check your email once every two months as you told me. You need to either be dedicated to being more active or orphan your AUR packages so others that have more time can maintain them.

for the dependencies i am not too sure, tbh. the source has debian deps, and they have e.g. pipewire and pulse as "recommends". https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-applets/blob/master_jammy/debian/control

@soloturn: Please don't add packages to the AUR that aren't even complete. All you did was copy and paste most of the PKGBUILD from
cosmic-epoch-git. The dependencies are wrong and the package function does nothing.No, I do not give you permission to add me as a Co-Maintainer.
