I have had trouble building this package ever since Git LFS was added as a make dependency. It may be best to remove Git LFS support from the build process, as it causes more problems than it helps.

For those affected, manually comment out the 4 lines for Git LFS in the prepare() function and then run makepkg -si while inside the directory containing the PKGBUILD.

@zerodot1 @soloturn: For fixing this issue makepkg can use an extra dependencie for git lfs. Added Dependency: Added makepkg-git-lfs-proto to makedepends to ensure the necessary support for Git LFS. Updated source URL: Changed the URL in the source array to use the git-lfs+ protocol, which indicates that Git LFS should be used for this repository. Added LFS Commands in prepare: Included git lfs install and git lfs fetch --all in the prepare() function to ensure that LFS files are properly fetched.

@soloturn: I don't think I've ever had to use git-lfs for anything in the AUR. As I say repeatedly, build in a clean chroot to avoid issues with local configs and build enviroments.

if cloning from a mirror clone does not drag the lfs info along, i'd consider it as a git bug, because it is cumbersome and people like me, or @zerodot1 fall over it. currently - as you say - disable lfs for cosmic buils.

@soloturn: There is no "bug", the issue is in your local config. git-lfs is not needed with this repo. Also notice your issue was closed over two months ago.

i opened a bug in git-lfs, see here: https://github.com/git-lfs/git-lfs/issues/5644

so either we add that clone step, or we just say: disable lfs to build.
