Pse test it in a clean chroot (e.g. using "paru"). I think there is an unmet dependency, something is missing here (and in a clean chroot) which is present at your system. I do have 4 machines running Arch Linux - all machines are unable to build cqrlog-git because of the mentioned lazarus error.

Does not build: lazbuild --ws=gtk2 src/cqrlog.lpi Error: (lazarus) invalid Lazarus directory "": directory lcl not found Error: (lazarus) Building failed: src/cqrlog.lpi make: *** [Makefile:9: cqrlog] Error 2 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting...
It looks like the part "lazarus" is missing something...

Unencrypted git:// protocol is no longer supported by GitHub. Please try git+https:// for example.

WOW....it seems the problem is not being able to create a new log vrs. editing an existing log. The upstream author has not yet responded to notices about this issue in his forums

Updated....and FIXED the issues with pkgver !!

Yep, I can verify the error you got. AND I have verified that pgkver() is written to the arch-wiki's standards v/v "VCS package guidelines". My guess is that this error is generic, i.e. Something "buggy" in the tools used when invoking "makepkg". (P.S... I will try to go deeper into the problem and see if there is a work-around.)

Fails with: ==> ERROR: pkgver is not allowed to contain colons, forward slashes, hyphens or whitespace. ==> ERROR: pkgver() generated an invalid version: ==> Processing git version... 2.4.0.r138.gaef9c10
cqrlog-source compiles/installs no problem
