EDIT: i resolved the issue. I had to install gnome-keyring package, and now Criptex is up and runnign. Maybe should gnome-keyring be added as dependency?

@Tio awesome, glad to hear that fixed it for you! I appreciate you reporting that.

@ajgraves The last update you pushed works now. I am using Manjaro + Pamac.

@Tio I'm going to need more information here. What AUR helper are you using, or are you cloning the git repo and using makepkg? I'm pushing a revised .2 update to the PKGBUILD to correct about the only potential problem I could see in the prepare() statement. Note that nothing has changed in this routine for a long time, so if it was working previously, something is amiss here.

@camilobog and @mephysto, version 0.27.5 has been released, which requires me to update the PKGBUILD. I'm doing so now, it should be updated shortly.
The URL points to a specific version of the app, and not the "-latest" version that you can download from the website. After discussing this with the dev team a while back, I felt this was the best way to go as even if we download -latest in the PKGBUILD, the checksum will fail if they have released a new version, so the end result is the same.

Hi there, I get this error when I try to compile:
curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 403 Forbidden ==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://cdn.criptext.com/Criptext-Email-Desktop/linux/Criptext-0.27.4.AppImage
Can you help me, please?

Works perfect in the last version but this update doesnt works at all, fail in the download, the PKGBUILD its wrong, the sha512sum change and fail the validation, the url its wrong too i thing. Thanks for the work and i hope you can fix it.

@levinit I discussed with the Criptext dev team a while back, and decided to use the versioned downloads. Even if the package script pulled the -latest file, it would fail the checksum if they've updated it.
I'm going to be pushing the 0.27.3 version shortly.
