I had a problem with the desktop file. Seems like the --name option of the gendesk utility is no longer working. The filename was dataplot.desktop, not xdataplot.desktop. mkdir -p should be replaced by install -d.

Thx StefanHusmann. I'm a bit busy lately but I fixed the package. Although, about the FTP problem it seems it was temporal.

I have problems with downloading the sources. The URLs have to contain the substring ftp.nist.gov/ twice for me. See http://paste.pocoo.org/show/513385/ for what I mean. And yes, gcc-fortran should be added as make-dependancy.

Since expectk works now, I enabled the GUI of dataplot (xdataplot).
