@mix Could you please test Wayland? I have read X11 needs some tweaks and may have performance issues:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/DisplayLink#Configuring_X_Server

It's weird however you need to set AccelMethod to none, I'm not on X11 (Wayland) so I'm unable to test if this is really needed. I'm also running linux-zen, don't know if this can make a difference as this has some desktop tweaks.

Good luck!

Thank you for the answer @francoism90. I am using X11. I want to note here that this decrease in performance compared to the previous version is significant and it is such a decrease in performance that, for example: the video content played on YouTube lags every time I move the mouse a bit, a similar situation is with any window animation or even text selection . Overall: the performance of the current driver is noticeably worse. And here I would very much like the previous driver to be available somewhere, because in my case it worked much better and I was very happy with it. I will probably have to apply 5.10.63-1 and compile the previous driver myself.

@mix Are you using X11 or Wayland? I do have fps drops sometimes (Wayland - GS), however this seems to be normal for USB display devices.

However, I have slightly different observations. Everything works, almost ok, 5.14.2-1, evdi-git 1.9.1.r32.gb0b2c80-1 (unfortunately, I can't compile evdi 1.9.1-1 properly so far). However, the displayed interactions on the monitor are lagging, which was never the case in the previous version of displaylink and evdi 1.7.2. Any switching to composer mode does not help. I wonder if anyone has noticed a similar situation and maybe knows how to deal with it. I will appreciate your suggestions. Reinstall to evdi-git 1.9.1.r4.gb0b3d13-1?

5.4.1-1 works fine here (with Kernel 5.14.2-1 Manjaro and evdi-git 1.9.1.r32.gb0b2c80-1) -Thx!

Displaylink 5.4.1-1 works for me even with Kernel 5.14.2-arch1-2 and evdi-git

Disregard, was able to get the file from https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/ubuntu-5.3.1

Any advice running into:

==> Starting package()...
Adding udev rule for DisplayLink DL-3xxx/5xxx devices
Installing DLM systemd service
Extracting DisplayLink Driver Package
chmod: cannot access 'displaylink-driver-5.3.1.34.run': No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
    Aborting...

Thanks in advance
