@Rhinoceros upstream readme says that it is also for wayland: simple drag-and-drop source/sink for X or Wayland. Can you update the description?

This package is out-of-date, but I have created a package consistent with the new upstream name of dragon-drop. I created a request nine days ago to merge the packages, so just waiting on that. In the meantime, I recommend migrating to dragon-drop.
Rhinoceros commented on 2022-03-06 12:01 (UTC)
@BachoSeven, I've migrated both packages to the new name, and they are just pending approval from a TU. The executable was originally just called dragon
, which conflicted with KDE media player of the same name. The new name dragon-drop
was suggested upstream, and this name had already been adopted by a few other distros. With the new version 1.2.0, the new executable name was easier to use, and I took this opportunity to change the package name as well.

@Rhinoceros What's the reason behind creating these dragon-drop{,-git}
packages, since you had already uploaded the dragon-drag-and-drop{,-git}
ones?

Thanks @FichteFoll, I hadn't seen that thread. I think I just made up dragon-drag-and-drop
originally, but dragon-drop
sounds much better, so I'm happy to change.

There is a discussion upstream about disambiguating "dragon" from the kde media player by renaming it to "dragon-drop" and the Makefile already supports this. You may be interested in picking that up or participating in the discussion as the AUR maintainer.

@crdx Hi, that makes sense. Thanks for your explanation :D

@nourthe
Thank you for your contribution!
There is an implicit dependency on base-devel for all AUR packages, so it's normal that you had to install it.
