Thanks for the report. Two things: the authorization problem is related to the update, and you should have seen a message when updating duplicati to that effect. Use the tray icon to login.

As for the memory issues, I've asked the developers.

i have four computers (2 laptops and 2 desktops) that are having trouble. When I go to localhost:8200 I get repeated login errors just connecting. I have not had time to try anything, but when I saw it was using 1.3 GB of memory I tried to stop the service.

All I did on all four machines was update Arch.

Thanks!

Here is what I get with status:

What isn't working with the latest release? Server isn't starting? Backups are not working? It seems to be working fine on my end.

The duplicati-canary-bin 2.0.9.102-1 release is not working for me. When I tried to revert to the previous release, duplicati-canary-bin 2.0.9.101-1, I received a warning that my duplicati database has been upgraded and the previous version no longer runs is compatible. This is from the release notes from 2.0.9.102-1: "database upgrade from 11 to 12: Downgrade from this version requires manually adjusting the version number in the database. The additions can be re-applied if the database is upgraded again later."

I'm not going to have a chance to troubleshoot this for a few days; I'm posting this as a warning, backup your SQLite database before upgrading. YMMV.

I've pushed the latest update. Backups were working fine for me. Please let me know of any issues.

Thanks for the notification, I am indeed a bit late updating this. The latest version requires more changes to the PKGBUILD than the usual update, so I have been putting it off. I'll try to get to it this week.

PRs are welcome, see https://github.com/joeydumont/arch_linux_packages/tree/master/duplicati-canary-bin :)

I run into this bug that is mentioned here https://forum.duplicati.com/t/compare-feature-not-working/14792/17 and seems to have been fixed in the latest canary https://github.com/duplicati/duplicati/pull/5232

Can this package be updated please?

Thanks for the info. I ran "paru -S duplicati-canary-bin", it complained about the conflict with duplicati-latest, I asked it to remove duplicati-latest and it installed duplicati-canary-bin and it kept my settings. The only issue was that the service user had been changed in duplicati-latest and it reset back to the default. The service user had to be edited and reloaded.

Hmm, I believe that the "replaces" clause should have made it such an AUR helper would have automatically updated to the latest package. If it doesn't, it is safe to install duplicati-canary-bin over duplicati-latest. The settings are stored (by default) in /var/lib/duplicati, which is not owned by the package and won't get overwritten.

Now that duplicati-latest has been renamed to duplicati-canary-bin, how do I upgrade?

1) Remove duplicati-latest and then install duplicati-canary-bin? does this remove my duplicati settings?

Or 2) just install duplicati-canary-bin and does this replace the duplicati-latest package?

when I try "paru -S duplicati-canary-bin", it gives me a "conflicts found" message with duplicati-latest and a "Conflicting packages will have to be confirmed manually" message.

Thanks.
