Could this PKGBUILD be changed to use webkit2gtk instead of libwebkit (webkitgtk2)? The new eclipse-common package in the official repo now also uses the newer webkit2gtk package.

Could you please change the installation directory from /usr/share/eclipse to /usr/lib/eclipse? The eclipse packages from extra use the /usr/lib directory since eclipse 4.5.0. Many plugins found in AUR are already adapted to /usr/lib, making them unusable with eclipse-platform without tweaking.

Thanks for the heads up, I've updated eclipse.desktop. I couldn't find an .svg icon for Neon anywhere and the other Eclipse packages (-java, -cpp, etc) don't even use one, so I took it away and added the 256x256 .png instead.

Hey, the version string in eclipse.desktop should be adopted to 4.6. Also a more recent eclipse icon could be used for this package. Nevertheless nice work.

Updated to Mars, gtk3 is now used by default, to force gtk2 use SWT_GTK3=0

eclipse support gtk3 now, just add SWT_GTK3=1 into eclipse.sh

eclipse needs not java-runtime, just java-runtime-headless is satisfied. libwebkit is also redundant.
