Completely fresh install after uninstalling previous version. Deleted ~/workspace, ~/.eclipse, ~/.cache/Eclipse, ~/.config/Eclipse (whichever of those existed, some might have not). "Install new software" finds C++ Development Tools. Trying to install those.
Result:
I made an extremely thorough attempt to purge the previous installation and any residual state it might have left on my system. Why is it failing so spectacularly?
Note well: installing
eclipse-cdt
is NOT a solution. I do needeclipse-platform
, because I need to be able to install any features, not just be happy with those provided by a particular specialized bundle.UPDATE: interestingly, when I open "Help -> About Eclipse platform...", the main dialog reports version 4.31, but when I click "[Installation details]" it shows that version 4.30 is actually installed. The only way to update the platform is to run Eclipse as root, and the update is successful. After that, installing components as a regular user seems to work fine.

@HVLife Then this is related to your project, and you have to build it with JDK8 in Eclipse. But you still have to use Java 11 or newer for running Eclipse itself.

Thanks for fast reply, I'm using stm32cubemx to program stm32. It Appears when I'm trying to list pins, just after mcu selection.

Could it be that this is a problem specific to a project you are developing in Eclipse that you have here? How do you get the error? I could not reproduce your error by just running Eclipse (tried JRE 11 and 14).

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-lookup.c: 105: check_match: Assertion `version->filename == NULL || ! _dl_name_match_p (version->filename, map)' failed! Appears, few minutes after application starts. I found solution (use java 8) but now i can't use that version of java. What can i do?

I updated the package for the 4.17 (2020-09) release. Please note that the minimum JRE version required for running Eclipse is now 11 (Source).
