FYI: activation does not work

It fails with the following for me on 9.0.5.0:

ESET Endpoint Antivirus Error: : Activation was not successful. (System information is temporarily unavailable (0x2))

dont want to hijack that here and I really appreciate having ESET here! I would use it as my first choice - if it would work (no activation possible as others noted).
since I was not able to activate this and due to the lack of any other current and working antivirus I've created an own package for kaspersky (kesl + kesl-gui). maybe that helps someone who wants/needs a working on-access malware protection these days.. -_-

Tested the package with new released v8.1.5.0 of EEA. Activation is still broken.

activation does not work here as well. even tried it with the eset management console and the management agent.. nothing. weird thing is that the eset web management is saying the locale of that package is ja_JP and I have read that the activation issue can be because of a not matching locale..

Is anyone able to activate the product by using the "/opt/eset/eea/sbin/lic" tool? Still works for me only for v7.

There is a problem with compiling kernel module. cant make stat on the module. Please help i have a trial licence for 30 days.

The kernel module compiles fine but the activation fails always on my machine. I tested the v7 package and was able to activate the license on the same machine.

Just installed this on kernel 5.13.13 and it installs fine. Activation however is broken. Will contact ESET about it and see what they have to say. We'll keep y'all posted.
