@marquicus, the package builds fine for me, both on the host system and in a clean chroot. I've used the exact same syntax for all of my 600+ packages, and I've never had anyone report this issue. You must have messed up your configs, namely the PATH variable. Check .bashrc (or whatever your shell is) for PATH exports, because having your $srcdir/ in the PATH is indeed an unusual choice.

It fails with following error:

'COPYING.EPSON' -> '/tmp/trizen-marp/epson-inkjet-printer-202101w/pkg/epson-inkjet-printer-202101w/usr/share/licenses/epson-inkjet-printer-202101w/COPYING' find: The current directory is included in the PATH environment variable, which is insecure in combination with the -execdir action of find. Please remove the current directory from your $PATH (that is, remove ".", doubled colons, or leading or trailing colons) ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package(). @assarawaki, package updated, the issue should be gone now.

Please update the package to depend on epson-inkjet-printer-filter, which gives the benefit of installing the filter (and the watermark files) once to a proper system-wide location and then installing just the libraries and data for the specific model drivers. This saves space, build time, and adheres more to the Arch packaging guidelines.

You have two options:

  1. Copy the PKGBUILD from one of my packages, such as epson-inkjet-printer-201207w, and modify only the model, description, and source URL.

  2. Make me a co-maintainer, and I can implement the changes myself.

I have already applied this update to ~118 packages and have received positive feedback regarding their functionality.

Ok, i found the file. Its in different Directory.

/opt/epson-inkjet-printer-202101w/cups/lib/filter/
