Oops, sorry, it's fixed now.

Also, due to the changed filename, the line sh -c "unzip -o $srcdir/ETQW-client-${pkgver}-full.x86.run -d $srcdir/ data/*; true" in the pkgbuild should be changed to ........ETQW-client-${pkgver}-linux.x86.run ...... in order to reflect the changed filename.

Thanks, I updated the mirror.

I've come across the same problem that maddog39 described: the FTP server is not allowing anonymous connections, so the link to the client binaries needs updating. To anyone with the same problem, I used this source instead: http://www.altfire.com/main/files/Gaming/Games/Quake%20Wars/ETQW-client-1.5-linux.x86.run

The FTP is working for me now, perhaps there were issues earlier.

The download link is dead, FTP server apparently no longer accepts anonymous connections. Needs to be updated.

nvm. i found i had to unzip the .run file myself then move to src directory and comment out the unzip command in the PKGBUILD to get the makepkg work. -jesse
