From that page:

  • If the appropriate license is not included, several things must be done:
    1. Install the license in: /usr/share/licenses/pkgname/
  • The BSD, ISC, MIT, zlib/png, Python and OFL licenses are special cases and could not be included in the licenses package. For the sake of the license array, it is treated as a common license [...] but technically each one is a custom license, because each one has its own copyright line. Any package licensed under these five should have its own unique license file stored in /usr/share/licenses/pkgname/.

i follow the official PKGBUILD guidelines speaking of standard licenses. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PKGBUILD#license

In the upstream repository and in the downloaded archive there is the license file and need to be installed in ${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}/

Hello,

  • the license need to be installed in ${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}/
  • provides=("$pkgname") is not needed for 'base packages'. for example an eventual fetch-scm-git need provides=(fetch-scm) conflcits=(fetch-scm)

Both these things are also valid for your pkgbuild disfetch
