You're right: it's a bug. @leothrix: that line should be: install -Dm755 -d "$pkgdir/var/lib/ganglia{,/rrds}"

Hi @giddie, Yes, the exact same thing happens when I use makepkg.

I'm unable to install this with yaourt. It tries to create /var/lib/ganglia and install into it but fails, as it doesn't sudo. I had to change the PKGBUILD line to say sudo install -Dm755 -d /var/lib/ganglia{,/rrds} in order to get it to successfully install.
