thanks for the tip. I ran updkgsums before on the package, but had obviously forgotten to delete the old geteltorito.pl. Duh! Updated

sha256sum in the PKGBUILD is wrong, change the line to this:

sha256sums=('97bc0b45189937058608a23d888510cfb7324985baa620c6348a9b78b88d22dc')

If anybody knows why the install with yay does not work, please post in the comments. downloading just the PKGBUILD and building and installing by hand works, though.

i wanted to install the package from yay at first but got a sha256sum error then tried clonning directly with git, same issue, can you fix it?

Thank you! Now it installs, but it seems as if the wrong file is downloaded from the github api:

The contents of geteltorito.pl are exactly the json response of https://api.github.com/repos/rainer042/geteltorito/contents/geteltorito.pl instead of the actual pearl script in https://github.com/rainer042/geteltorito/blob/main/geteltorito.pl.
