I had the same problem as stmc. Please change the PKGBUILD.

failed to build with 'i386' changing 'i386' to 'i686' solves problem

It should be noted that breakpad's maintainers have failed to configure their project's autotool scripts to include headers and other important components. I wrote a patch that I am not confident enough in to offer for inclusion in this AUR package but is available here http://code.google.com/p/google-breakpad/issues/detail?id=219&q=header

compilation works fine, but it seems a library fails to strip. /usr/bin/strip:./usr/lib/libbreakpad.a(libdisasm.a): Unable to recognise the format of file: File format not recognized

Adopted and cleaned up a bit - included a patch to allow it to compile against arch's new curl version. Let me know if you see any issues.

autogen.sh crashes the build for me. Update?

autogen.sh is no longer in the trunk and is not required.
