Not building for me, several error messages along the lines of /usr/lib/libgrib2c.a(g2_unpack4.o): In function `g2_unpack4': (.text+0x474): undefined reference to `rdieee' and /usr/lib/libgrib2c.a(jpcunpack.o): In function `jpcunpack': (.text+0x65): undefined reference to `int_power'

The removal of static libraries in newer packages forced an update. Nothing changed in upstream.

Even when using the default hdf5 package in "extra", szip has to be in grads's makedepends. It builds with szip and not without.

szip is needed by HDF5 if that package has been compiled with this dependency. It is not the case in the default package in the extra repo.

szip should be a dependency. I had to install szip (AUR) to build GrADS, after that the missing lib error was gone and I was able to build GrADS successfully.

This package depends on linpng/libtiff, so need recompile after libpng/libtiff update of 2012-02-05

It looks like szip should be a dependency.
