@khing0_0 @Nazrin I will look into this subject. It seems that (in addition to the points mentioned by you) the dependencies are incomplete.

I second this, Hyprland should be optional. Can't install grimblast-git when you have hyprland installed as a Cmake install.

Hi can we make hyprland deps an optional dep or something.

On official release hyprland pkg , when we install grimblast-git It tries to install hyprutils-git that causes breaking changes.

Thank you.

@LegendEronZ Thank you, hyprpicker is now an optional dependency.

Hi for --freeze flag hyprpicker is a dependency maybe you should add that https://github.com/hyprwm/contrib/pull/39

Not sure why the pacgraph is so high @jacekpoz. Grimblast is just a utility bash script that is 7.2KB and a man page that is 1.4KB. It may be because it has the dependencies grim and slurp, which have a pacgraph of size 459MB and 465MB respectively.

for some reason pacgraph -c gives me this:

...
531MB grimblast-git
...

is pacgraph high or does this package actually weigh half a gigabyte? if so, why?

Apologies there was an issue with the way that I had implemented the pkgver function in the PKGBUILD, which I hadn't noticed as I had installed grimblast from a local PKGBUILD and the issue only became apparent when using AUR helpers like Paru. I have updated it and it should all be working.

Also getting the same issue as you @nonomain. No issues with grimblast itself, it's just the version number and the fact that grimblast always has an 'available update'
