https://deb.grml.org/pool/main/g/grml-rescueboot/grml-rescueboot_0.6.4.tar.xz should be the files.

Regards and thanks for the package!

@mathieu.clabaut: That line does not refer to a file in your file system but to a file inside the iso that is booted (i.e. in this case the grml iso). There is a bit of explanation on this here: https://wiki.grml.org/doku.php?id=rescueboot. What this does is loading the following grub menu where you select the grml boot options.

A grub menuentry is created when using grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg, but it references a loopback.cfg which does not exist… Any idea where to find it ?

Download gives 404. Manual install: wget -O /etc/default/grml-rescueboot https://raw.github.com/grml/grml-rescueboot/master/etc/default/grml-rescueboot wget -O /etc/grub.d/42_grml https://raw.github.com/grml/grml-rescueboot/master/42_grml

I created a 'grml-iso' package now.

thiagowfx commented on 2015-06-25 01:03 (UTC)

All right, I understand. Making the ISO part of the package may not satisfy everyone's needs. But I liked (and didn't think about it) your idea of creating a dependency. Maybe I'll do this later on, so your PKGBUILD could be used to boot (almost) any ISO file. For example, https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/openbsd-rescueboot/ is an adaptation of this script/PKGBUILD.

@thiagowfx: Sorry for the late response. I thought about this for a while but I think I would rather like to keep this package independent of a specific grml version. Some people might like to have different versions or an older version available. For example truecrypt was included only in earlier versions of grml. One could easily build another package for the current ISO which could then depend on this package.

Hi, I improved this PKGBUILD a little bit: https://github.com/thiagowfx/PKGBUILDs/tree/master/_fork/grml-rescueboot I don't recommend you to simply copy my PKGBUILD, because it is very specific for my purposes; however, you could (if you want) improve this one by (for example) adding support for tracking the grml ISO file.
