... I've just pushed an update with the fix and the package is now building fine.

Can confirm. Thanks for the prompt response.

@m040601 this is caused by cmake 4.0, as described in [arch-dev-public] mail list. I've just pushed an update with the fix and the package is now building fine.

Was reinstalling today and it fails with these errors. I, think, it has to do with the official Archlinux cmake version recent update.

So far so good but then,

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:1 (cmake_minimum_required):
Compatibility with CMake < 3.5 has been removed from CMake.

Update the VERSION argument <min> value. Or, use the <min>...<max> syntax
to tell CMake that the project requires at least <min> but has been updated
to work with policies introduced by <max> or earlier.

Or, add -DCMAKE_POLICY_VERSION_MINIMUM=3.5 to try configuring anyway.

Indeed there was a big cmake update on March 27th, from 3.x to 4.x,

Could this be the reason for this PKGBUILD to fail ?

I've submitted an orphan request for "gromit-mpx-git", https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-requests@lists.archlinux.org/thread/3D6MNURT5BXXD256ZDWHQ7UWSUUP4RCA

@m040601 I cannot adopt gromit-mpx-git since there is a maintainer registered for it. I can adopt if the current maintainer drops it.

@dbermond

Thanks for the work on this PKGBUILD. The PKGBUILD "gromit-mpx-git", https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gromit-mpx-git, has several mistakes and seems to be abandoned. Read the comments there.

Would you be interested in adopting it ? Would be nice for consistency if the same person watched over both.

Thanks in advance.

No issues with 1.7.0. Thanks in advance.

@carlosal1015 I have just checked, and the package is building fine. The commit checkout mentioned in your log (8546c98) is not referenced by the PKGBUILD, and is not the corresponding commit of the tagged version. It does not even belong to the upstream git repository. Being such, this should not happen. Not sure why are you getting this. Try to delete all your cached sources and clone/download everything again.

@df8oe I've just checked, and the package is building fine. Your output log has non-english statements, and I cannot understand them (use LC_ALL='C').
