The following http link works (just had to replace ftp to http): http://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/ghostgum/gsview-4.9.tar.gz

Works fine for me now, thanks a lot! :-)

Sorry guys, I have no idea how that happened.

fixed now, please re-adopt.

Confirmed. The uploaded file has a .gz extension, but it obviously is an ungzipped tar file.

steff commented on 2011-03-17 07:30 (UTC)

I get the error gzip: stdin: not in gzip format when trying to update. Any hints please?

windscape, for this reason there is an option: Put OPTION=('!makeflags') to the PKGBUILD.

Those of you that fail to build gsview need to comment out the MAKEFLAGS line in /etc/makepkg.conf temporarily, as gsview doesn't appear to support parallel jobs while compiling.
