Now that guacamole has been accepted into the Apache project, the new version will bring quite some changes into the PKGBUILD. Has anyone tried the new version? Can someone share a new PKGBUILD here please?

@kapace: I removed guacamole-server as dependencies, but I prefer to user the binary war instead of compiling package in case does not run on the same server.

Is "guacamole-server" really required as a dependency? I don't think it should be since you could have guacd running on another host and use guacamole client to connect to it. I don't think there's any hard requirement for guacamole-server. (also thanks for making this package!)

I switch to tomcat7 for some error that appears when working with tomcat8 (sometimes the site wont display and some error in log). Please if compiling in an environment where is installed some jre version choose the jdk same as the jre installed!!!

They say that it work with 7 and 8, but with 8 i retrieve some error and unable to compile. I have try to use also the binary war and it work with 8... But with 7 it work like a sharm.

Got errors with 8, like you said. This worked for me: sudo archlinux-java set java-7-openjdk
