@SpotlightKid, thanks! I'll try again. If it fails I'll contact tramp.

@funkmuscle: Sorry, that was a last-minute copy-and-paste error.

I'm not sure what is going on with the graphite dependency, though. The plugin binary links to libgraphite2, put namcap says "Dependency included, but may not be needed ('graphite')".

Hi, I see this in red (libgraphite2.so.3) but don't know what it means except today this plugin will not build due to this error:

loading packages... resolving dependencies... warning: cannot resolve "libgraphite2.so.3", a dependency of "guitarix.vst-git" :: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies: guitarix.vst-git

:: Do you want to skip the above package for this upgrade? [y/N] error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: unable to satisfy dependency 'libgraphite2.so.3' required by guitarix.vst-git

Hi, can we simply change in the PKGBUILD file the 'source' part to

source=("$_pkgname::git+https://github.com/brummer10/guitarix.vst")

and the 'prepare'

prepare() { cd $_pkgname git submodule update --init --recursive }

I tried to add the new sources, that comes with RTNeural, but I failed. That changings above build the package.

Thanks, @Gimmeapill !

@SpotlightKid: Thanks. I added blindly your changes and added you as co-maintainer as I'm not really on top of things those days ;-)

May I suggest some PKGBUILD improvements:

https://cpaste.org/?55c0871f68e07bfc#CaubBmBDjb9KcC1F1jAUQ4yBmC8EFRioiYPBHZug81y3

  • Fixed pkgver.
  • Added some dependencies reported missing/implicit by namcap.
  • Added guitarix repo to sources.
  • Added conflicts.
  • Updated PKGBUILD syntax to style conventions used in official repos.

Thanks for reporting. It sounds like you're using a AUR helper script of some kind, but I have unfortunately no idea why it would do that

  • maybe something to do with the pkgver function (there's an upper case "L" which is probably not super recommended).

Could you check if this happens also with the guitarix-vst pkgbuild?

Apart for that, there is one packaging issue that I didn't manage to sort out: when you're building in a chroot with extra-x86_64-build, you will also get an empty debug package (happens also with guitarix-git)

Hey, every time I do a system update, guitarix.vst-git is there for an update. Even after doing the update, I'll run the sys update again and yes, guitarix.vst-git is there to be updated still.
