DO NOT use sudo and please take the time to read package guidelines. the package() function uses a fakeroot environment, so all you need to do is this:

package() {
  cd "$pkgname-$pkgver"
  install -Dm755 gumdl -t "$pkgdir/usr/bin"
}

If you're only going to release this in binary form, please re-submit this as gumbdl-bin.
