In iw-tws.conf, I would suggest setting the following:

JAVA_XMX="-Xmx4G"
JAVA_UI_FLAGS="-Dswing.aatext=TRUE -Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=on"
  1. Increasing the heap size prevents the app from hanging at 100% cpu utilization
  2. Enable anti-aliasing/font smoothing. This makes the UI much more legible.

Unsure why you needed --skipinteg. I just made a series of changes and successfully built version 981.2g-1. Can you try the latest PKGBUILD?

Had to use

makepkg -si --skipinteg

to be able to install. For some reason, modifying the PKGBUILD with the md5sum of the installer didn't work either.

@m4ch1n3, IB moved around a few JAR locations and this prevented the automatic update scripts from operating. I've since update the scripts and pushed a new version.

@benalexau I just got "ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!" again. The md5sum seems to be dd166326666deeab3cb37d65ebeaf115 now.

@pythoneer, I just built the package fine with PKGBUILD 979.5a-1. The md5sum of https://download2.interactivebrokers.com/installers/tws/latest-standalone/tws-latest-standalone-linux-x64.sh is currently 5d95ef9d9ca43deaa609fcaded72eed3 as per the PKGBUILD.

md5 for the shell script needs to be updated 1c5478afd9c709e240f0f7b3899f0555
