I took over the package and updated it to IDA Pro 9.0 and newer.

This package is not compatible with AUR helpers as is. (AFAIK)

You will need to obtain a copy of the IDA Pro installer (currently c0e2d5f410f8a4a3745bb219d821d690ce1768a5ce0a25e86e0c30c1fe599c71 for 9.0, refer to the PKGBUILD); get it from the IDA download center at https://my.hex-rays.com/. You will need a proper idapro*.hexlic file or a floating license server to activate IDA Pro.

Clone the repository, put the installer in the directory, then run makepkg -sicf.

I don't know if variables work in the description, but you are missing the $ sign anyways, it doesn't work
