I'll check for any updates on the project in a week and see if I can update this package.

Hey. I haven't been following the project as closely recently, but I believe they made the install process pretty different. If you can get it installed, you can just modify the impostor.service script accordingly.
All the script does is run the impostor-server with a working directory in /var/lib, which is mounted to /etc/impostor/, which is where the config.json file is.

Hey! How would I go along and install the unstable version and make it work with systemd?

Just a heads up - official client, which was just pushed in the last 24 hours, requires Impostor 1.2.2, which is a development version that needs 5.0.0rc2 .NET to run(not only compile!)
The config.json now has an additional AntiCheat option.
Not tagging the packages out of date as this is all dev releases with no stable, but the stable releases are now pretty much useless.
Loading the config is broken in 1.2.2 so for now a dirty symlink is needed:
ln -s /etc/impostor/config.json /usr/bin/config.json

Alright the config.json is there now. Working on the service user this weekend so expect more updates. :)

Sure thing. I plan to have that there eventually. But fair warning, you'll still need to do some manual stuff so the server finds that file. In the future I plan on creating a service user which will hopefully make this a lot more streamline.

Please add the example config.json that comes in the zip to /etc/impostor/config.json
