"finally the Insync team have added good new features for Dolphin services such as overlay icons"
Where they are?
Thanks @brianmsm, finally the Insync team have added good new features for Dolphin services such as overlay icons
There is a new version http://s.insynchq.com/builds/insync-dolphin_3.3.10.40961_all.deb
Could you update this package, please?
Thanks @MoDoJ, I realized too, right now the only option is "View on web". I search and I found that for Nautilus and Caja there are more options (like old version) implemented in python, these scripts are not possible to use/migrate in Dolphin because use Gnome shell's libraries :/
@XavierCLL it seems they did more than just neuter the options able to run in Dolphin, but killed off ALL the command line flags that were previously available! Now, you can only start, stop, and open_web.... I'm so glad I don't use this crap. I'm so disgusted right now :P The update works as intended, they just ruined their software.
Check out their updated man page for confirmation of it. Believe me, I even tried the old commands, no dice. Oh well... free trial? eww, this can vacate my system, now! http://ix.io/20zd
Here's my PKGBUILD with up-to-date 'pkgver', 'source', and 'sha256sums', I didn't change anything else. http://ix.io/20yq
Such minor changes.. desktop file run options.. I should check package contents more often :P There's one additional file, no removals, two modified. New is a changelog! Heh, not sure if this is wanted, I'd think not. ./usr/share/doc/insync-dolphin/changelog.gz
Both .desktop files, the actual meat and potatoes of this package, have been heavily stripped down, and potentially removing functionality? (Honestly, I don't use insync, or dolphin, so that's for y'all to determine, I'm just here doing utterly pointless assists, helping to update something that is so unnecessary, other than so say it's up to date :P).
So yeah, here are diffs of the two files... I figured maybe it might be worth some eyes on these changes. Again, I don't know insync, so if it's a patch introducing loss of utility, feel free to make my effort to help worthwhile, and reverse these diffs to make a patch from new to old (like ix.io/20yJ), rendering all our efforts for naught, but all our pacman and aur pkgs are up-to-date!:P
http://ix.io/2oyB Diff of kde4 ./usr/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/insync_servicemenu.desktop
http://ix.io/20yC Diff of kservice5 ./usr/share/kservices5/ServiceMenus/insync_servicemenu.desktop
@XavierCLL this is the current version of the .deb given on their download site... https://d2t3ff60b2tol4.cloudfront.net/builds/insync-dolphin_3.0.22.40446_all.deb That link may remain viable, but I figured might as well see if the format in source= is still available, and sure enough, it works (without '-precise_') http://s.insynchq.com/builds/insync-dolphin_3.0.22.40446_all.deb
Here's a (likely/hopefully! I'll test now) working, up-to-date PKGBUILD as of 11/1/2019
Scratch that, I'll edit again shortly with a link to a properly formatted pastebin, markdown was causing wonky formatting issues that would lead someone astray, I'm sure.
Hi @tioguda for me the new (and the current) version stopped working, I think that the insync didn't update the dolphin packages, but if you said that you have a working version please send me the pkgbuild
Version 3.0.22.40446 is already working, tested on Manjaro.
Greetings.

The version of this package is generally mismatched with respect to the official Insync package, please check the version on the website specific for Dolphin before flagging it as out of sync.
