There is a new version (2.30.4) for iscan. The old link for version 1.0.1 doesn't work anymore. It is now necessary to change to the newer version in spite of the plugin still having the same version since forever.
Download page: http://support.epson.net/linux/en/iscan.php?model=perfection-v330&version=2.30.4
New sources:
for x86: https://download2.ebz.epson.net/iscan/plugin/perfection-v330/rpm/x86/iscan-perfection-v330-bundle-2.30.4.x86.rpm.tar.gz
for x64: https://download2.ebz.epson.net/iscan/plugin/perfection-v330/rpm/x64/iscan-perfection-v330-bundle-2.30.4.x64.rpm.tar.gz

@FacuTuesca this is correct, this is not installing iscan-data

To the user who flagged out of date because there is a new version of iscan-data:
Please check the PKGBUILD: we are not installing iscan-data, we are only installing the plugin for the v330 scanner.

@FacuTuesca Thanks for the improvements!

@Scimmia, @kewl: Thanks, now using bsdtar
@Eschwartz: About lib64, I'm not sure either (it was already there when I adopted the package). I removed it because it seems unnecessary to me too. I also fixed the source types. Thanks!

@FacuTuesca I agree with @Scimmia:
bsdtar
could be used for the extraction to avoid this useless dependency.eschwartz commented on 2018-01-14 02:58 (UTC)
Please update to use source_x86_64=() and source_i686 instead of
if [ $CARCH = x86_64 ]
etc. Modern versions of makepkg are fully capable of properly tagging source types and making them discoverable in the process. :)Also while I am at it, we do not use lib64 on Arch, so is there a reason iscan-registry cares which one you use?
(Don't mind my ignorance, please. :D I'm just popping in because I noticed the source thing while rejecting that orphan request.)
