The newly added conflict was somewhat unfortunate:

looking for conflicting packages...
:: java-openjfx-bin-23-2 and jre7-7u80-1 are in conflict (java-openjfx). Remove jre7? [y/N]
:: java-openjfx-bin-23-2 and jre8-8u431-1 are in conflict (java-openjfx). Remove jre8? [y/N]

Package (3) Old Version New Version Net Change

jre7              7u80-1                    -129.98 MiB
jre8              8u431-1                   -281.11 MiB
java-openjfx-bin  22-2         23-2            6.50 MiB

Total Installed Size:   247.76 MiB
Net Upgrade Size:      -404.59 MiB

:: Proceed with installation? [Y/n]

I have jre7 and jre8 for compatibility with old Java-based "remote console" UIs in server firmwares. I guess the best workaround is for me to rebuild the older packages to remove the provides from them.

Where does it do?

The PKGBUILD has nothing in it that builds stuff. Only download, extract, and copying stuff into place.

Regards!

Please also add to the conflicts arrays entries so that it conflicts with java-openjfx of the same major version (java-openjfx does not have java22-openjfx listed in it's provides array, so conflicting with java22-openjfx is not enough.).

Could you build and push a v22 binary, please?

should probably install into /lib/jvm/{_jvmdir}-openjfx, see FS#64121

It really doesn't, sorry I hadn't noticed it didn't have the correct dependency for java-environment. Should work fine now (it does on my system)
