Since Archlinux doesn't include "-dev" packages: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/28972/why-are-there-no-dev-packages-in-arch-linux Would you please add these to the PKGBUILD? options=(libtool) provides=('jcal')

Can't build the package. Please revise elc.c:3:27: fatal error: jalali/jalali.h: No such file or directory #include <jalali/jalali.h> ^ compilation terminated. Makefile:461: recipe for target 'elc.o' failed make[2]: *** [elc.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory '/home/rahpu/AUR/jcal-git/src/jcal/sources/test_kit/jalali' Makefile:347: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/rahpu/AUR/jcal-git/src/jcal/sources/test_kit' Makefile:377: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). the error is from building test_kit folder because some file in this folder refer to jalali folder that does not exist. I build my package by eliminating test_kit directory from Makefile. I think this is a bug and might be correct.

@sbmomeni I switched to your versioning function since there is no tag available :) thanks once again.

Thanks, but for versioning, I preffer git describe.

All PKGBUILD files need one package() function. The pkgver does not indicate the latest state of the code. And the PKGBUILD does not follow the VCS packaging guidlines; available at <https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_PKGBUILD_Guidelines>. I prepared an updated version at <https://gist.github.com/momeni/6475640>.
