Been noticing a lot of crashing issues (segmentation fault core dumped) and a few playback issues since this got updated, anyone having similar issues? might have to report this to the developers.

Thanks @nvllsvm, that fixed it!

I followed the advice of a2sc: SegFaults occur since a recent system update. Installing libvdpau-va-gl helps

And my segfaults stopped, not only with jellyfin but several other programs

thank you

There is a segfault on pause, skip, clicking around etc since the latest update. Nothing in the logs about it, nothing on the command line (other than the actual segfault and mention of not being able to find libcuda at launch, which is irrelevant to the segfault).

@gameslayer

Just rebuild the package and it'll pick up the new lib path.

gameslayer commented on 2022-12-07 02:30 (UTC)

jellyfin-media-player is missing a symlink to a lib file

jellyfinmediaplayer
jellyfinmediaplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libmpv.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

You can fix this by symlinking libmpv.so.2.0.0

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libmpv.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib/libmpv.so.1

Since the rebuild with new mpv the player crashes very often. especially after pausing. gdb points to pipewire segfault.

Gobidev commented on 2022-11-21 20:58 (UTC)

@cable @zrg @a2sc this is due to an mpv update, rebuilding jellyfin-media-player fixes the crash. If you are using paru or yay, this is done with paru -S jellyfin-media-player --rebuild

cable commented on 2022-11-19 21:37 (UTC)

Keeps segfaulting after a recent update as zrg and a2sc have mentioned. Not sure why.

Can you add -DLINUX_X11POWER=ON as a buildflag? Screen keeps blanking in the middle of my show.
