I'm getting an error that seems to be caused by libuv not being built with fPIC. Does that happen to anybody else or is it just me?

The (web)frontend thing will undergo some changes. Possible that the lighttpd frontend will be removed soon. If that happens, the opt can be removed. Status of nginx is also unknown to me. What shall come is an iPython based Interface, whatever that means

Thanks to Narrat (https://github.com/Narrat) we've got a new julia release with all system-dependencies.

Hey, I started out by using everything from the system, but some libs weren't compatible (it was an early release). I'd be happy to integrate julia fully into the system. Any help would be appreciated (please contribute on github: https://github.com/mjakl/aur-julia-lang) Thanks!

TBH, although it makes installing much more painful, I like using the julia versions to keep everything separate and working even with or without updates. Maybe you could USE_SYSTEM_* = 1 as a default, and leave an explicit message about the possibility of changing them in the PKBUILD?

I would prefer using the system packages. Only changing this behaviour if there is a serious problem

Added arpack to "conflicts", maybe it'd be better to use the system arpack, lapack, and blas packages again?

mrbit commented on 2012-10-06 20:52 (UTC)

/usr/lib/libarpack.so already exists in the filesystem add conflict package its arpack thanks
