I created a kakoune package that follows releases. I think you could also steal some things from the PKGBUILD, such as optional dependencies or the more accurate description.

Thanks. Note that boost isn't a dependency anymore, by the way; a month or so ago it was replaced with custom regex functionality.

Shouldn't boost be a make dependency and boost-libs a hard dependency?

You can use the `install-strip` make target now, to install a stripped down version of the executable.
